No one likes walking around with two phones. It can get awfully confusing when you’re glued to your work smartphone 24/7 while continually using your personal mobile devices for social media, personal email, texts and (gasp!) actual phone calls.

But while some industries require workers to keep a separate mobile device for checking work email and accessing certain files, more business owners are recognizing the value of BYOD (bring your own device) policies in the workplace.

Employees value little perks like flexible hours, unlimited vacation, and relaxed personal tech policies.

She claims that “the trend of BYOD – bring your own device – is gathering more and more traction in the workplace. Employees are responding positively. From a business perspective, there are a lot of reasons to encourage workers to provide their own IT equipment – convenience, low overhead, and employee morale.”
